PAC Messaging for Reopening
As member libraries reopen to offer limited services, you'll want to communicate important changes to your patrons. There are many opportunities to do this in the PAC. Below are examples of customization available to your library. Request customization for your library PAC by submitting a ticket to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Include a Banner
A banner is featured across the top of the catalog and appears on every page. A banner can be any color, feature a message, and include a link to helpful web pages such as library updates or forms. Keep text as brief as possible when using a banner.
Edit Holds Text
Custom text beneath the Place Hold button lets patrons know that their holds will only be filled locally at this time. Custom text on the Pickup Location page keeps patrons from attempting to retrieve holds at another location.
Patron Account -- Items Out
Notify your patrons that Items currently checked out may stay on their account for a given amount of time due to quarantine measures.
Patron Account -- Holds
Notify you patrons about how they should pick up their holds. This can include a link out to an online form or web page containing more information about curbside service or delivery options.
