Migration Update: July 10, 2017
This newsletter was originally scheduled for July 7, and was delayed due to the system downtime on Friday, July 7.
Between June 30 and July 7, CCS experienced several service outages due to lack of connectivity to our colocation site. On Friday, July 7, we replaced a failing piece of hardware, which has resolved the issue.
Our IT team worked with SirsiDynix and ICN (our internet provider and colocation host) to diagnose and resolve the issue. Thank you to everyone at our libraries who submitted reports. These helped us diagnose the issue. Special thank you to Rich at Niles, who provided additional support.
In addition to troubleshooting these issues, we are also working with Polaris and continuing our migration work. Polaris was on-site Thursday, July 6 and Friday, July 7. We are reviewing our profiling work to-date, discussing the questions raised by our advisory groups, and continuing to develop our understanding of the system.
Next week, we will begin our first quarter technical group meetings with the Circulation/ILL group on July 14.
