Go Live Update: New Leap URL

May 11, 2018
CCS and Innovative are continuing to focus on PowerPac and Leap performance. Changes made over the past weeks have led to improvements, but we do not believe the issue is completely resolved. We are taking two additional steps towards a complete resolution, as outlined below.
New Leap URL
Brief PowerPac Downtime, Sunday at 10:00 PM
Thank you for your continued communication with us during this time. Without your reports of slowness or errors, it is impossible for us to track the issue. To report a problem, email help@ccslib.org with the following:
Interface used (PowerPac or Leap)
Error message seen - copy and paste or grab a screenshot
Approximate time or window when the error occurred
Did it occur for one person, for many people, or for everyone using the interface at that time
New Leap URL
Leap and PowerPac currently operate on the same server. Innovative has set up an additional server so Leap and PowerPac can operate more independently. This will allow Innovative to better identify either Leap or PowerPac as the cause of errors and to allocate more resources to a specific service if needed.
Library staff may begin using the new URL listed below now:
https://ccs-leap.polarislibrary.com/LeapWebApp
The existing Leap URL (ccs.polarislibrary.com/LeapWebApp) is still active, and libraries will have until Friday, May 18 at 5:00 PM to update all internal bookmarks or shortcuts. After that time, the old Leap URL will no longer function.
There are no changes to staff or patron logins, PowerPac or Simply Reports URLs, terminal server logins or remote app connections. This will not have any impact on training server logins or URLs. This change is only for Production Leap.
Brief PowerPac Downtime, Sunday at 10:00 PM
Innovative will be applying a patch to our system on Sunday, May 13th at approximately 10:00 PM Central. The change will require downtime for Leap, PowerPac, and API. Total downtime is anticipated to be less than 15 minutes. The patch is expected to correct errors messages that staff and patrons have experienced in Leap and PowerPac.
