Important CCS Update: Virtual Meetings Coming
COVID-19 Update
Like all of you, CCS has been closing monitoring the COVID-19 news. The CCS community includes several municipalities who may make conflicting recommendations. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health of our staff, member library staff, and the greater community, CCS will be taking a conservative approach following cues from the CDC and local sources.
Technical and Advisory Groups to Meet Virtually
As of March 16, all technical and advisory group meetings will be held virtually, with no in-person component. The CCS staff liaison will share login information via the appropriate listservs and L2. We value these opportunities to learn from each other and understand that in-person meetings can offer opportunities that virtual meetings cannot. We fully expect to return to in-person meetings in the future and appreciate your flexibility. We will reevaluate at least monthly, beginning March 31.
Governance Meetings
As we await additional information from the state regarding possible changes to quorum requirements during this time, we will continue to hold governance meetings in person. We request that anyone who is feeling unwell not attend and encourage anyone who may be at higher risk to participate electronically.
CCS Staff
All CCS staff are equipped for remote work. Should the need arise, we will work from home and stagger in-office time as needed. We do not anticipate any interruption in service.
